| 18 Jun 2002 | Allie Simmons | I liked the first one, so i decided to check out this one as well. I think this one is definately the better of the two! Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "I actually agree with you there. There were elements I didn't like in the first one, though I think the background is not as strong in this one as the first one." | |
| 7 Jul 2002 | Eve Archambault | Wow!! I prefer this one too to the other. ^_^ I have two little critics here. First, to deepen the background, you should try darkening the things that are the farthest. That would help to make it more stand out. We're missing a lot of details because they mostly are all on the same color level. The other little thing I see is about the wings. Usually feathers have a hard thing in the middle, so they can't wave or fold, they can only bend a little. Also, feathers usually attach to a bone armature. The top of the wings can't start with big feathers : it has to start with smaller ones in order to cover the bone and then there is bigger feathers... Well, enough criticising... Please excuse my poor english, I hope you understood what I mean ^_^ Lovely pic, I like it ^_^ Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "I will bear the advice on darkness as I finish the picture. Thank you, I kind of see where that makes sense. Regarding the feathers however, it is an error I am well aware (I make the same mistake with most of my wings). I am currently in the process of rethinking my wing drawing strategies." | |
| 8 Jul 2002 | Amy | Well I agree that the wings do need a little work but over all I really like this picture. I love the way she is positioned, and she is gorgeous. Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "Thank you Amy." | |
