SciFi and Fantasy Art: Riding the Storm

The Nightrunners are gifted people who excel in getting packages and messages between A and B in the quickest times possible, no matter what the cost. No danger nor law deters them as they often ride the guantlet delivering items both legit and illegit in times that no other normal courier service could match. Here abrave Nightrunner with a modified aerial bike braves the fire to get her package to it's reciever in highly hazardous conditions. Done in coloured biro 1999, computer enhanced 2001. I used coloured biro as one of my first experimentions into colour and I found the effect worked quite well, even if it was a bit different to other normal media's for art.

Hmmm... Biro? What's biro?!? Anyway, it's a great colouring. I know I shouldn't be the one speaking, but you should get some more colours on your gallery. I can't believe I just said that. ARGH! I've been affected by the colourmaniacs! *Runs away sdreaming before she starts thingking something simular about her own gallery*

I know, scary isn't it! I love my black and white drawings, but I deffinately am starting to see the appeal of colour, so keep in touch and you should see some more colour pictures popping up. Oh, and biro, it's those cheap and nasty plastic ballpoint pens you can get. Great for art though if you know how to use them. I do 95% of my artwork with them.

Reminds me of a video game called Forsaken.

Can't say I have ever heard of the game personnally.

yeah I agree: you definitely should use more color in you pictures, jugding from this one the result would be an awesome one. Keep it up 2

Ok then, I will....

Well PINK is my least favorite color... But then I like your style 2 I'll let you get out with this for once.
No, really, I love this picture. I like the energy in it.
I hope those aren't bullets around her 2
The first time I saw them, I thought it was a visual effect for speed. I hope I was right!2))))))

Hmmm, it seems that the scanner and photoexpresses enhancements seem to have faded the red. Trust me, what you call pink was origninally red!

As for the speed effect or bullets, the answer is both! They are bullets whizzing around her, but one of the main reasons they were added in was to help convey a sense of high speed motion in a deadly situation. Yes, this Nightrunner is nuts, but then again, so are most Nightrunners!

Great speed! Go girl!

Speed, as they say, is off the essence, especially when one is a Nightrunner.

Good thing that I am not into Ennuendo's at the moment otherwise the last four words you commented there could be interpretted a little different LOL. And yeah, Nightrunners are real crazy people.

This is the best I've seen of yours so far! All the proportions seem right on the girl. This reminds me somewhat of psylocke riding a motorcycle in the air in an snes game I have. Great pic!

:-) Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "Quite possibly true on the proportions, but things are going to get better, trust me."

yea I messed that last comment up REAL bad lol...there are some hidden meanings in SOME of the things that I say...oh and I wanted you to know the Doors ( an old American band) sing a song called Riders on the Storm..^_~ check into it...if you feel like it...or unless of course you already know of it..which I am sure you do because Draken knows all...the All Knowing Draken : P

:-) Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "Suddenly I am the all knowing Draken hmmmm. I guess it may be true, which means that song by the doors doesn't exist because I've never heard of it and if it did, I would have heard of it. Ok, too much megalomania here."

Well you know there ARE some hidden meanings in the SOME of the things I say ^_~

:-) Steven 'Draken' Pickard replies: "Has the english in your brain gotton a bit befuddled my dear?"
